Making Eastern Uusimaa a thriving and well-known wellbeing region — an excellent place to live, work and do business!
Accessible hospital services and healthcare
Primary healthcare services must be accessible to residents also in smaller municipalities and villages through a rotating doctor / personal physician model. Hospital services must be retained within the Eastern Uusimaa wellbeing region. Service vouchers should be implemented in a way that works effectively for both clients and service providers. Bilingual services must be safeguarded. Elderly care services must be guaranteed in the future as well.
Securing fire and rescue services
Eastern Uusimaa is home to several high-risk and strategically important sites, such as the Porvoo oil refinery, the Loviisa nuclear power plant, and a major logistics hub located at the border of Sipoo and Kerava. Ensuring strong fire and rescue services in these areas, maintaining preparedness, and coordinating operations with neighboring wellbeing regions are especially important for national security of supply and overall public safety.
A firm no to a regional wellbeing tax
Wellbeing regions must be funded by the state — we must operate within the resources allocated.
If the responsibilities of the wellbeing region increase, the corresponding state funding must increase accordingly.
