Real Estate Brokerage

My interest in housing shares, real estate, and real estate brokerage led me to apply for a license to operate in the real estate sector in 2011. The business was initially established under the name Kiinteistönvälitys Jokke Härmä Oy LKV, which was later changed as the company expanded and franchise entrepreneurs joined: Kotimaan Kiinteistönvälitys Oy LKV / abbreviated Kotimaan LKV.

I am self-taught and have developed into a real estate professional through several industry qualifications, numerous completed transactions, and continuous annual training – whether dealing with private or corporate properties.

I have been a member of the Ethical Committee of the Finnish Association of Real Estate Agents (SKVL) since 2014 and have served as its Chair since autumn 2018.

Our office operates in Eastern Uusimaa, Central Uusimaa, Vantaa, and throughout the Helsinki metropolitan area, including Helsinki, by agreement. Our office in Järvenpää currently employs four licensed real estate agents – all operating as independent entrepreneurs under the Kotimaan LKV brand.

We are a member company of the Federation of Finnish Enterprises / Sibbo Företagare – Sipoon Yrittäjät and the Finnish Association of Real Estate Agents (SKVL).

• Archipelago brokerage in the Sipoo–Porvoo area, the Helsinki metropolitan area, and inland waters by agreement (including necessary boat transportation)

Event and Restaurant Operations

After comprehensive school, I completed a vocational qualification in the restaurant industry in Oulu (1984–1986). I then worked as a pizza baker, shift supervisor, and restaurant manager at Pizzeria Nr: 1 on Asemakatu and Hallituskatu in Oulu. My employment ended when I began UN rotation training in Niinisalo in early 1989.

I moved to Järvenpää to open a Kotipizza restaurant in 1990. A second location was opened on Helsingintie in 1992, a third in the same city in 1993, and a RAX Family Restaurant in 1994. At their peak, the businesses employed approximately 50 people. The companies were sold to new entrepreneurs between 1997 and 1998.

Between 2003 and 2009, we leased the entire pedestrian street and market square/seaside park area from the City of Järvenpää and organized city festivals with seating capacity ranging from 2,300 to 7,500 guests. Nearly all of Finland’s top artists performed at these events, including Popeda, Eppu Normaali, Lauri Tähkä and Elonkorjuu, Cheek, Leningrad Cowboys, Paula Koivuniemi, Juha Tapio, Jean S, Vicky Rosti & Freeman and Menneisyyden Vangit, Happoradio, and dozens of others.

Since 1999, I have operated POP RAVINTOLA – pizza pop – brgr pop – bar & grill – in Järvenpää. “POPPI,” as we call it, is a 100-seat fast-casual restaurant including a patio. Our main products are pizza made from fresh dough produced in our own bakery, charcoal-grilled burgers, a diverse selection of locally brewed craft beers on tap, and home delivery within approximately 7.5 km – including to Northern Paippinen in Sipoo.

During the COVID years, as well as today, we operated fully as normal. The company hired additional staff during the exceptional circumstances, further developed operations, and built and launched a cloud kitchen concept in January 2022. More information: www.mexicali.fi
